Music can be the bridge that connects one culture or
one religion to another. We Believe is a collection of songs written to
help build that bridge. I wanted Muslim families to sing the songs in
celebration of their holidays and beliefs. I also wanted music teachers to have
access to Muslim songs which they could include in their classes or holiday
assemblies. The lyrics, lyric explanations and music only tracks are included
with the CD to aid in doing just that. I hope everyone enjoys singing the songs as much as I enjoyed writing them.

"We Stand As One In Ramadan" talks about
looking to the sky for the crescent moon when Ramadan and the fast begin. It
also talks about looking to the stars and spreading the word at the end of
Ramadan when the Eid holiday begins. The song expresses the feeling of peace
Muslims have during this holy time. The song, "Ramadan Will Be Here Soon",
talks about waiting for the fast to begin and searching for the crescent moon to
begin the Eid.

The song, "Come With Me", talks about "one
time in our lives we go" and "we drink the water our lives begin new" in Mecca.
The song also talks about going up into the mountain "to the place where the
prophet stood". The song, "I Wonder", talks about visiting the
place where your religion began, going up into the mountain and bringing the new
faith inside back home with you.

The song, "Let's Pray", talks about being
washed and ready, stopping five times a day and lining up for the prayer. The
song also says "don't be late, don't wait" because of the importance of praying
each prayer in it's designated time period.
